Hi, I'm Zak and in this tutorial you will learn to design a simple and modern look personal business card for designers, or anyone can use this.
The tutorial for this business card is given below:
Requirements.
You will need:
> Adobe Photoshop CS3 or higher.
> No special skills are required.

Step 1
Open Photoshop.Step 1

Now go to File>New>and fill with the given detail.
i.e 3.5 inch width & 2 inch height, with resolution of 300 and color mode should be CMYK if you are going to print it, other wise RGB.

Press ctrl+R for scales and change the mode of scale to percentage.

By Holding the scale drag it to the center to 50% from both sides i.e horizontal and vertical.

Now make a new layer and fill it with dark grey color. You can apply gradient, I'll show you later.

Take Text Tool and click on the work space.
Step 8
Write your name here instead of "John Doe",and to change color of text first press ctrl+a to select all and then clicking on the color box present on the top text menu. Now I tilt it a little by transforming the text by pressing ctrl+t .

Now make a duplicate of the text layer by holding alt and then dragging the text with pressing left mouse button.

Now press ctrl+a by selecting duplicated text layer.

Now write your title here and change the size of the font and font color , present on the top text menu.

Make another duplicate layer of your title layer and again change the size and color, you can put your contact details here.

Now take a new layer, take marque rectangular tool (second tool from top) and draw shape something like this. change the foreground color to desired color and hit alt+backspace to fill this layer with the color. now press ctrl+d to deselect.

It will look like something this.

Now arrange it as shown below by transforming the layer (ctrl+t)

Take large size round eraser and decrease its hardness to 0% and erase the corners of the green line like shown below.

Now again take new layer and draw shape like this through marque tool.
Step 19
Make 2 more duplicate of these layers and arrange them like these, you can change the color whatever you want.

It will look like something this, I applied the gradient on background and on three strips but it is not necessary, but if you know how to apply then good :). btw i showed this on video tutorial.

Result
Your design is ready to use, you can use any color you want here like white background etc
