Hi, I'm Zak and in this tutorial you will learn to design a simple and instant poster design.
Requirements.
You will need:
> Adobe Photoshop CS3 or higher.
> No special skills are required.
Easy.
Final Design
Tutorial:
Step 1
Open Photoshop.

Open Photoshop.
Step 2
Now go to File>New>and fill with the given detail.
i.e A4 size paper, with resolution of 300 and color mode should be CMYK if you are going to print it, other wise RGB.
Step 3
Now go to file and hit place button and place you any HD quality Image that you want to appear on your poster as a background image.

Now by holding Shift and alt key increase the size of the image as shown in the image below.

Now take marque tool (rectangle) and draw rectangle like shown below.

Now make a new layer from lower right corner.
Step 8
After making new layer, change the foreground color to black and press alt+backspace to fill the color. Now go to opacity and lower the opacity to 8%, given above the Layer panel.
Step 9
Take Text tool, with font "Arial", "Black" and type whatever you want like shown below.
Step 10
Now adjust the size of the font by selecting the desired text and changing its size from the top panel.

Now select the complete text by double clicking font layer.

When the font is selected click on the color given in the top font panel and select your desired color like shown below.

Now again take text tool and draw the text are like shown below.

Here you can put your all desired detail like given example, and you can put your website address at the footer of your poster.
Result
Your design is ready to use, you can put any kind of image that you want as a background.
